About Ascent
Important Information
Ascent is an End Game Content raiding guild. As such, we are not motivated by loot, but by seeing all in game content to the fullest. We only recruit for active raid spots, so if accepted you will be expected to show for all scheduled raids for the first 4 weeks. Missing any raids during your trial will extend the time it will take you to advance or even keep you from doing so.
Once your application is posted, please check back regularly to see its status or if there are any comments/questions we have for you. We aim to close all applications within 5 days from when you post it, and your quick responses are crucial to that.
Requirements
Gear Requirements: You should be equipped with average item level 384 gear or better. You should have the highest quality, appropriate PvE enchants (including Therazane exalted shoulder inscription) and rare quality gems in all of your equipment. This is to show us that you have the drive and motivation to be a raider.
Talent Requirements: You must have a PvE talent spec and be willing to respec if we ask you to do so, every class can benefit others. “The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few”. We also expect you to be familiar with your class, what talents/stats will help you optimize performance and ultimately take down the bosses.
Play-style Requirements: If you habitually go /afk or don’t pull your weight, do not apply. Anything can happen with new encounters. You must be able to think for yourself and be able to adjust quickly.
Attendance Requirements: Our Raiders must make 83% (5 of 6 raiding days) or more of all scheduled raids. We prefer members who approach 100% attendance. If you cannot make a scheduled raid, you must make a post or let an officer know before the raid that you will be unable to attend and post on the attendance forum.

- Please link any World of Logs or WowMeterOnline parses that you have. If you don't have a parse to link, please read above on how to provide us with a parse.
- Theorycrafting. What sources do you use for information on your class/role? Please discuss your chosen talents, glyphs, enchanting and gemming choices, reforges. (This will be the most scrutinized part of your application.)
- Discuss your prior endgame raiding experience, list specific instances.
- Please list your alternate characters, their levels, and their specs.
- What other guilds have you been a part of? Why did you leave/want to leave?
- Why are you applying to Ascent? What do you offer to the guild? What do you think that Ascent has to offer you?
- What was your attendance % for raids at your last raiding guild? How does your availability meet up with our scheduled raid times?
- Post a screenshot or link to your UI in-combat. Explain how/why you have things setup/organized as you do.
- Please tell us about the computer system that you use: CPU processor (speed), RAM, and graphics card. Do you experience video lag in 10-man raids? In 25-man raids?
